20 Tips for Employees- Build and go Home

I saw this on a Facebook post and it really was good advice for employees like me which can be applied to all especially those who are currently working abroad or for our OFWs. Build a Home and Go Home. ADVICE TO ALL EMPLOYEES   1. Build a home earlier. Be it rural home or urban home. Building a house at 50 is not an achievement. Don't get used to government houses. This comfort is so dangerous. Let all your family have good time in your house.- This is achievable when you are an OFW or have good paying job here in the Philippines. But talent sometimes beat high paying jobs abroad. Some online sellers can provide well for their family and able acquire some investments.    2. Go home. Don't stick at work all the year.  You are not the pillar of your department.  If you drop dead today, you will be replaced immediately and operations will continue.  Make your family a priority.- Very much true, no matter how good we are, we can always be replaced. 3. Don't chase promotions.

What Happens to 10k Humanitarian Aid by DMW to OFW Saudi Claimants?

According to DMW Secretary Ople, they will release the humanitarian assistance to OFW-Saudi Claimants for unpaid wages within the next two weeks with DMW-OWWA leading the distribution efforts. The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement was held on March 11, 2023 and almost two weeks passed already but no sign of distribution has been made.  The DMW-OWWA and DSWD were supposed to provide P5,000 each for an estimated 10,000 workers-claimants, based on OWWA records. In all, the agencies will each allot P50 million to cover the financial grant. Earlier, Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople and Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) providing P10,000 as financial aid for each worker seeking unpaid wages from several Saudi construction companies that declared bankruptcy from 2015 to 2019.  Hopefully, the 100 million allocated to all the 10,000 claimants will finally get cash aid from our government and not just pure press releases.
